Dark Chili Powder uses Ancho and Pasilla chili peppers for its base flavor. Accent these chili varietals with cumin, coriander, salt and other spices and the flavor will make your dishes and sauces come alive.
Brown 2lbs ground beef, 60oz crushed tomatoes in puree, 2lb mixed dried beans, fresh chopped bell peppers and a little water. Bring to a simmer and add Cayenne, Oregano, Marjoram, Black Pepper, Salt, Cumin, and Dark Chili Powder to taste. Simmer until thickened and beans are tender.
