Caper Berries are the fruit of the caper bush. A caper bud, if left unpicked (as this is the source of capers) will flower and bear fruit. The caperberry is a dark olive green color and has a firm texture. The taste is like a mild caper.
Caper Berries range in size from 1/2 inch to 1 inch. The size may vary with the pack. They should be refrigerated after opening.
Caper Berries are normally used right from the jar. They have good texture and can be added to dishes for further heating/cooking. Although caper berries are packed with the stem-on, it is not eaten.
